The first film in Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, the start of the much-awaited trilogy, took the anime world by storm. Premiering in Japan on July 18, 2025, and later hitting U.S. theaters on September 12, the movie became an instant global hit. Fans were left in awe of Ufotable’s jaw-dropping animation and the intense battles that set the stage for the next chapters.
Ufotable had already confirmed that the Infinity Castle Arc—the longest and most thrilling part of the manga—would be adapted into a three-part movie series. The first film ended on a massive cliffhanger, teasing an even bigger showdown in Part 2. Inside the endless labyrinth, the Demon Slayers are still trapped, while Muzan Kibutsuji desperately searches for a way to counter Tamayo’s powerful drug.
Fans Eagerly Await Infinity Castle Part 2
It’s been several months since the first installment’s release, and excitement for Part 2 has only grown stronger. However, the studio has stayed completely silent about any updates—no trailer, no teaser, and no release window.
Although Part 2 is currently in production, fans have no clue when Ufotable will finish the film. Many hoped the wait would end at Jump Festa 2026, Japan’s biggest annual anime and manga convention. But the latest update has left fans disappointed.
No Major Demon Slayer Update Coming at Jump Festa 2026
The official Jump Festa 2026 website has confirmed that Demon Slayer will appear at the event, but not with the kind of news fans were hoping for. The series will take the Super Stage slot on December 21, the second day of the event—but there will be no major announcement or trailer reveal.
Instead, fans can look forward to a live stage performance by the voice cast, including:
- Natsuki Hanae (Tanjiro Kamado)
- Hiro Shimono (Zenitsu Agatsuma)
- Takahiro Sakurai (Giyu Tomioka)
- Saori Hayami (Shinobu Kocho)
While that’s a treat for attendees, the official event page doesn’t mention anything about Part 2 updates. Meanwhile, other anime like My Hero Academia and Dandadan have already teased big announcements, making this lack of news even more frustrating for Demon Slayer fans.
Why The Wait Might Be Worth It
Since its debut in 2019, Demon Slayer has consistently released new content every year—whether it’s TV seasons or movies. But with the Infinity Castle film’s stunning visuals and high animation quality, it’s clear that Ufotable is taking extra time to deliver perfection.
While the silence is disappointing, it could mean the studio is working hard to make Part 2 another visual masterpiece. Given the success of the first film, fans can expect the wait to be worth it.
